Network is a fantastic film with all the dynamicism of written fiction where every scene feels like it has passionate, real purpose behind it, with a full cast of fascinating characters where there’s no filler or padding.

Dead Man is a terrible film with all the trappings of poor filmmaking where no scene feels as if it has any real purpose to it, with a full cast of paper-thin characters where almost 90% of the scenes are filler.
